Before We Arrive
Have the project fully finished, cleaned, and styled before we get there. Clear personal items, clean the windows and glass, check that every bulb works and matches in color, tidy the landscaping, and coordinate window treatments. Small things matter more than you’d expect. A visible cord, a mismatched bulb, or a half-finished detail can take time to fix later.
What To Double-Check
Pay extra attention to mirrors, reflective surfaces, cords, counters, shelves, trash, tools, packaging, and any little item that pulls attention away from the space. We also recommend checking touch-up paint, hardware alignment, and anything that may look slightly unfinished once it’s photographed.
Editorial Packages Get Extra Help
For Editorial packages, we include an on-site styling pass to refine the final details. That can include small resets, last-minute adjustments, and help with the visual finishing touches before we start shooting. Either way, we’ll send a prep checklist a week before your shoot.
Why Prep Matters
A well-prepared space lets us spend more time on the actual photography instead of fixing preventable distractions. That usually means better light, cleaner compositions, and a final set of images that feels polished instead of patched together.
